Nuclear Energy Information Service is hosting a special Night with the Experts on Thursday, October 20th, at 7:00 p.m. CDT, and will take place virtually.
They say,
In the Spring of 2022, NEIS conducted four one-hour briefings for Illinois legislators and officials on a variety of important topics relating to nuclear power and waste in Illinois. These briefings went into detail on issues first raised in a 6-page table report previously sent to legislators, suggesting the need for legislation and action on the part of the State on issues not dealt with in the 2016 FEJA and 2021 CEJA legislations.
This special edition of NWTE will discuss in detail these legislative suggestions, in preparation and anticipation of the upcoming Fall Veto session in November 2022, and the start of the January 2023 legislative session.
David Kraft is a safe-energy/antinuclear advocate, and cofounder of NEIS, serving as its director since its inception in 1981. Kraft is an accomplished public speaker and writer on nuclear topics. He has been called upon to testify in hearings related to nuclear power at the state and federal levels. He has received recognition and awards for his work, most recently, in May 2016, the Judith Johnsrud Unsung Hero of the Year award for his lifelong activism. Kraft has a passion for growing orchids, is a chocolate aficionado, and plays a mean guitar.
The video of this event is being edited.  When it is ready, we will post a link to it on this page.
